GOLF
Scotland is the home of golf, where more than 550 golf courses populate the country from head to toe. The famous St. Andrews is only one hours drive from Edinburgh.
Turnberry
Home of the 2009 Open is approximately 95 miles, 2 hour drive away from Edinburgh. Closer to home Edinburgh has numerous excellent places to play, including a number of accessible public and short-hole courses.

are only 15 minute drive from the apartment:
Braid Hills - No. 1 Course, is a 18 hole course.
The Princes Course - (0131 447 3568) is a 9 hole course.
Both located on the A702 south of the city.

has a driving range, short game practice area and 3 putting greens and lessons are available

The Club is a private Members’ Club that welcomes visitors to play its courses. Gullane Golf Club offers championship quality links courses with dramatic views across the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh and Fife. The Club has visitor tee times available on each course each day plus golf and catering packages. It is advisedly to make a booking in advance as occasionally there will be restrictions on the tee.

RUGBY -
Murrayfield Stadium (0131 346 5000) well known to rugby union fans around the world, is where Scotland’s home international fixtures are played.Guided tours are available you are required to book 48hrs in advance.
EICA:RATHO - The Edinburgh International Climbing Arena is the world’s largest indoor climbing facility incorporating 2400 square metres of artificial climbing wall. Classes are available for all levels, including beginners and children. Tel - 0131 333 6333. Located on the A8, not far from the airport.
TENNIS - The Meadows has tennis courts for hire.
